How It Works
Ambient air containing moisture is drawn into the unit via variable-speed fans. Pre-filters remove particulates before the airstream enters the desiccant rotor section, ensuring long-term rotor performance.
The process air passes through a slowly rotating desiccant wheel coated in silica gel or lithium chloride. Moisture molecules are adsorbed directly onto the desiccant matrix. A separate regeneration air stream — heated to 100-140°C — continuously reactivates the saturated desiccant, expelling the absorbed moisture to the outside.
The now-dry process air exits the unit at the target humidity set point — reliably delivering between 1% and 50% RH depending on the application. CONSORB and RECUSORB units can be ducted directly into the protected environment or used as standalone climate control units.
Core Technologies
The core of every ClimaCore system: a slowly rotating silica gel or molecular sieve wheel that continuously adsorbs and desorbs moisture without wear or degradation.
Integrated heat exchangers reclaim up to 80% of the energy used in desiccant regeneration, dramatically reducing operating costs in large-scale installations.
IoT-connected humidity sensors and BMS integration allow real-time remote monitoring, predictive maintenance alerts, and automated set-point adjustment.
Specialist desiccant matrices can simultaneously capture volatile organic compounds alongside moisture — ideal for pharmaceutical and cleanroom environments.
Performance
ClimaCore systems are validated to perform where conventional refrigerant-based dehumidifiers fail — in sub-zero environments, high-altitude facilities, and around-the-clock industrial processes.
All performance figures are verified under EN 13779 test conditions. Contact us for site-specific performance data.
Quality & Compliance
Every ClimaCore system is designed, manufactured, and tested to the highest international standards.
